We are currently seeking an experienced Android developer to work on a turn-by-turn navigation application. The application will be based on the code available at [login to view URL] Project Overview: The application will serve as a navigational aid, routing users to their destinations while intelligently avoiding Points of Interest (POIs) based on their current location. Key Features: 1. Splash Screen: * Implement a startup splash screen featuring our logo and descriptive text. 2. Destination Entry: * Provide users with the capability to enter their destination address. 3. Location Updates: * Send the user's current location to the backend server every 30 seconds. * Receive a JSON list of POIs from the backend server based on the user's location. 4. Route Planning: * Implement routing to the destination, avoiding POIs within a preset radius (PR1) around them. * If the user is within a preset radius (PR2) of a marked POI, notify the user and reroute while avoiding the provided POI list. 5. Turn-by-Turn Notifications: * Provide voice prompts for turn-by-turn navigation. 6. Proximity Alerts: * Issue voice prompts when the user is in proximity to a marked POI (as defined in PR2). Requirements: - Proven experience in Android app development. - Familiarity with the MapLibre Navigation Android codebase. - Strong knowledge of location-based services and navigation. - Proficiency in integrating backend services and handling JSON data. - Ability to implement smooth and intuitive user interfaces.
