My journey in data analysis began with obtaining an IBM Data Science Professional Certificate, where I honed my skills in data analysis, visualization, and programming. Throughout my academic and professional endeavors, I have developed proficiency in SQL, Python, Excel, Tableau, and Arc GIS, among other tools and languages.
With a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Geology, and Physics from the University of Peradeniya, coupled with hands-on experience as an Engineering Geologist at GSMB Technical Services in Sri Lanka, I possess a strong foundation in both technical and analytical domains. In this role, I led the Smart Irrigated Agriculture Project, conducting comprehensive data analysis on soil properties and water availability. I effectively communicated complex technical data to stakeholders and utilized ARC GIS for advanced geospatial analysis, contributing to the creation of insightful maps and analyses.
