Join the Venture Beyond Video Editing Contest and show us your unique skills!

Are you a talented video editor? Here's an exciting opportunity for you. We're hosting a competition aimed at identifying creative and proficient video editors to join our team. If you can take a brief and bring it to life, this contest is for you!

We specialize in Social Paid Ads for DTC E-commerce brands, so we're looking for talented videos editors that understand Hooks, Narrative Storytelling, Clip Selection, CTAs, and everything need to craft videos that optimize for performance.

The top 5 entrants will be rewarded with interviews for a potential full time role with us (see details at the end), in addition to the prize money for the winning entry!

Naked & Thriving is a Vegan skincare brand in the mid-price range, targeted at US female consumers aged, on average, between 45-60 years old. Your ad should demonstrate the bottle, the product in use, and how it is applied, create a feel for the consistency of the liquid and ultimately convince the viewer to make a decision to buy.

Make sure to read the full brief below before starting your edit. We would like you to create a compelling ad.

You will create a Video Ad for Naked & Thriving's "Renew Resurfacing Night Serum" product.

Inside this link, you will find testimonial videos, B-Roll videos, and an End Card CTA to include in the video.

Choose the parts of her testimonial you think are most relevant for the footage you are using.

Include captions & background music. It should last around 30 seconds. Include a CTA at the end.

Format:
- Provide a 4x5 version for Facebook/Instagram Feed and a 9x16 version of the same ad for Facebook/Instagram Stories

Storytelling:
- The first frame should grab attention immediately (use shots that create interest through motion/emotion!)
- The first 3 seconds of the ad are THE most important part - create a compelling hook from the testimonial or from text on screen
- Use a variety of shots and think about pacing to hold attention throughout the ad
- Consider using speed ramping, transitions, zooms, pans, grids, and animations (show us your skills!)
- Ensure that the ad tells a complete story end to end
- Have a go at some simple text on top of the video (3-5 words max at a time) that explains something about the product (consider using info from: www.nakedandthriving.com)

Elements:
- Include easy to read TikTok/Instagram style captions
- Use the End Card CTA provided

Other:
- Colour-correct the clips so that they all look great together
- Use royalty-free music and edit to the beat
- Make sure you pay attention to Instagram Stories/Reels "Safe Zones"

- Crafting and editing ads using Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
- Collaborating with our UK-based team
- Constantly learning and upskilling to produce effective ads
- Following our agency's best practices for creating sales-driving ads
- Managing your schedule and projects with flexibility on timezones and working hours

Full-time roles will range from $800-$1200 USD per month for 40hrs per week depending on your level of experience, with an opportunity to grow with us in the future!
