  • My apologies for the inconvenience: the system for processing emailed responses was not processing all of them correctly (and it was only reported to us recently, so we didn't realize it). This has been fixed, but may result in older messages (from the last two weeks) showing up on May 8 and May 9 in your message thread. We have also taken steps to monitor this system more closely so we will know immediately in the future if there is a problem. Again, my apologies and thanks for your understanding. *Exhedra Money-back and Payment Guarantee Terms and Conditions:

Exhedra honors money-back and payment guarantees on its web site, which include (but are not limited to) The "triple-point guarantee", the "AccuBilling guarantee", the "crowdsourcing guarantee", and "payment guarantees". These guarantees are subject to the following terms and conditions:

  • Abuse prevention:

To prevent abuse by either party, all guarantees are enforced through escrowing and arbitration where the pre-conditions will be verified. See the rules of arbitration for full details.

  • Forfeiting a guarantee:

Your legal agreement lays out all the ways in which an employer or worker can forfeit some or all parts of their guarantee. Please be sure to read it and familiarize yourself with site rules, policies and protections to best protect yourself and ensure a smooth experience.

For example, an employer can forfeit the refund portion of their guarantee by neglecting to check the worker's work/timecard, and authorizing it as 100% complete, when it really isn't (called an "advance payment"). Or they can forfeit their guarantee to a refund on a missed deadline, by instructing a worker to continue working (rather than cancelling). Either party can also invalidate their guarantees by illegally taking all or part of the project off-site, refusing to cooperate with arbitration, and/or misusing other safeguards the site provides. Please see your your legal agreement for full details on how to avoid situations like this.

  • Refund (cancellation) fee:

All money-back guarantees involve crediting funds back to the employer's site account. There is no fee charged for this and these funds can be respent at any time at no charge.

If the employer wishes to obtain a physical refund (back to a credit card, Paypal, etc.), then this often involves expenses for us. For example, some institutions charge a fee for the initial payment, and do not refund it during the refund. Others charge additional fees to process the refund. To cover this fee, we charge a cancellation fee. However, if the refund occurred due to the fault of the other party (as determined in arbitration), Exhedra will attempt to recover the funds from that party. However, if it cannot recover them for any reason, then the employer continues to assume responsibility for this fee.

Note: the employer can avoid any chance of having to pay this fee (at no charge) on all pay-for-deliverables projects, by simply requiring the Worker to place an Expert Guarantee.

  • Other:

Depending on your situation, others terms and conditions may apply. See the employer or worker legal agreeement for full disclosure of details.
