If you
fully complete the contracted work by the deadline,
and it is up to industry-expected standards, you
will be paid. If for any reason your employer
does not release the funds from escrow to you,
vWorker will verify this (via arbitration)
and pay you. Click here for
more details.
oDesk does not offer either escrowing or arbitration on
fixed-price,
so it
does not guarantee payment either.
As a result, you may complete all the work and get paid incompletely or not at all.
This can't happen on vWorker.

mental tasks |

When working for an employer, you may find yourself doing mental
work that should not be interrupted (such as reading, planning or
writing at your desk). Odesk requires that you simultaneously
remember to move your mouse
every minute or so, and if you don't, you are not guaranteed
payment. So you can choose to be constantly interrupted (and perhaps
distracted and frustrated), or forgo the payment guarantee.
vWorker does not require you to make this choice,
and guarantees payment for mental work.
