I'm a technician that fixes Mac computers on a daily basis. Sometimes when I walk in to a project I have 5 or 6 macs to carry out specific procedures that I do on every computer in succession.
1. open hidden location in system folder access 2 fonts, copy them, compress them and archive them into shared folder for rainy day. trash original fonts.
2. clean font caches on Mac with use of terminal commands
3. Set up some of the features within the system to make it ready for a user, (turn on some functions in system prefs etc)
4. install a small package of programs I install as standard. I usually bring these with me as a zipped file of components.
5. open up specific windows within the system, take snapshots of these windows place them into a folder for future reference and compress (zip) this folder for copying after done.
6. all remaining package elements on the desktop are then trashed and trash emptied.
I have been trying to figure out how to create this within automator but just do not have the time. :/
