    • For employers:
      • AccuBilling money-back guaranteetm* (via pay-for-time)
You pay the worker by the hour and they must log their time using the AccuTimeCard™. We show you images of their desktop (and optionally their webcam) as they are working, so you know what they are doing at all times. We credit your money back if they:
        • Pad/fudge their time.
        • Bill you for time they weren't working.

      • Triple-point money-back guaranteetm* (via pay-for-deliverables)
You pay the worker a fixed price for the entire project (or for portions of the project, if you prefer to pay for achieved milestones). They must deliver:
        1. To-contract (100% as described in your contract, and meeting industry-wide expected standards).
        2. On-time
        3. On-budget
or we credit your money back. Click here for more details.
      • Contest money-back guaranteetm* (via crowdsourcing)
Workers compete to complete your contest for a prize. If you do not get an entry that you like, your prize money is credited back. Note: if you choose to guarantee to award a prize, then this no longer applies. Click here for more details.
    • For workers:
      • Payment guarantee (via Pay-for-time)
You log your time in the AccuTimeCard™ and are paid for each hour you work.

We guarantee to pay you for every hour you truly work on the employer's project.
      • Payment guarantee (via Pay-for-deliverables)
You do the work and are paid when you deliver the entire project (or pre-agreed upon milestone) to the employer.

We guarantee that if you fully complete the contracted work by the deadline (or pre-agreed upon milestone), and it is up to industry-expected standards, then you will be paid.
      • Payment guarantee (via crowdsourcing)
If the employer selects your submission as the winner then we guarantee you will be paid the prize amount. Further, if the employer guarantees to award the prize, then we guarantee that there will be a winner.

  2. Third party guarantees:

  3. Website security

    • External security:

      • Thawte: Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) Encryption:
SSL protects you when you use the site on any page starting with https://. When you do this, the data you send cannot be intercepted by a 3rd party, nor can a 3rd party impersonate us. Thawte helps us enforce this protection with the 256 bit encryption in their SGC SuperCert product.
      • Protectpoint: Firewall and Intrusion Detection/Prevention (IDS/IPS) services
Protectpoint's firewall is a device that protects our networks from unauthorized users and hackers. Their intrusion detection/prevention (IDS/IPS) continually scans all of our systems (from both outside and inside the firewall), and allows them to detect and block potential intruders. Protectpoint runs from a SAS 70 Type II audited security operations center (SOC).
      • Security Metrix:
Security Metrix runs security perimeter scans, site scans and penetration tests on our systems, every quarter to safeguard against hackers. After passing these tests, they certify our security as being Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standards compliant. This certification further accredited us with the following credit card safety programs: Visa CISP, MasterCard SDP, American Express DSS, Discover DISC, JCB DSP.
        SecurityMetrics Credit Card Safe
      • Threat Metrix:
Thread Metrix help stamp out fraud (such as credit card fraud and duplicate accounts) by tracking devices in real-time on a world-wide network.
    • Physical security and redundancy:

      • Peak 10:
The vWorker.com data center is located at Peak 10, which is PCI Data Security Standards Certified as a Level 1 service provider. Peak 10 provides us with:

        • Five levels of physical security to protect our servers from unauthorized access:

          1. Security card and PIN required to initially enter the building.
          2. An authorized biometric (fingerprint) scan required to enter secured area.
          3. Further protection from intrusion by enclosing all servers, switches and hardware with a padlocked steel cage.
          4. Further video surveillance cameras and motion detectors to detect unauthorized access attempts.
          5. Further on site staff to detect unauthorized access attempts: 24 hours x 7 days a week x 365 days a year.

        • Reliability/Redundancy:

          • Redundant internet connectivity: If one internet service provider goes down, several others are available to immediately and seamlessly pickup the connection.
          • Redundant and uninterruptible power supply: If commercial power is interrupted, the backup generators allow the servers to continue to run.
          • Redundant temperature and humidity control: Maintains servers at 70 degrees Fahrenheit and proper humidity at all times, with redundant HVAC systems in case of failure.
          • Fire: Automatic and manual smoke and heat detectors, as well as dry fire-suppression systems (instead of water, to protect delicate circuitry).
          • Redundant Protectpoint firewall: Onsite replacement available should the original fail.
    • Other architecture:

      • Clustered internet and DNS servers: If one server goes down, another picks up for it automatically.
      • Redundant email: company email hosted at a 3rd party site with redundant servers (if one fails, another picks up automatically).
      • Virtual server environment: Servers are hosted on large virtual servers. If physical hardware fails for any reason, another server automatically picks up for it.
