My field is financial services and I've worked with other professional writers. While those writers claimed to have experience writing for this industry, the work they initially sent me was often so poorly written that my intended audience would have laughed at it. Even though we eventually ended up with decent work, I felt like I had done 95% of the writing, yet I was still dependent on the pro for formatting help, parsing some words, turning a phrase, etc.
Lisa completely immersed herself in my project and asked questions when she didn't understand. There were only a couple of times that I had to redirect her writing, and this was a pretty big job. Because she worked so hard to understand my project, she was able to create large writing passages that I hadn't envisioned. She wasn't just adding professional touches to my drafts, she was coming up with new concepts and connections that made the job turn out better than I ever thought it would.
