Choose your Worker and Put Payment in Escrow

When you have found the worker you want, you can accept their bid and begin working together.

Before accepting a bid, you first need to view the bid and verify it is truly the one you want to accept. You can do this by clicking on the link in your email notification or "to do" list notification. Or you can do this by going to the project (which will show you all of your bidders), and clicking on the "View or Accept" link next to the bidder you are interested in:

Once you are at the bid you wish to accept, just click on the 'accept' link to the right of it:

You will then be asked to authorize a credit card charge, PayPal charge, or snail-mail check payment to move the funds to escrow.  For your protection, these funds are NOT paid directly to the worker.  Instead, they are held in an escrow account until you authorize their release by accepting all (or a percentage) of the final work (see "Receive and Approve Work").

If there are problems at any time, you can contact a facilitator to work out difficulties.  If there are more serious problems and you need to exercise any of your money-back guarantees, just place the project into arbitration for a full or partial refund. (Simply click on the 'contact arbitrator' link from your employer control panel).

Please note that if you are new to the site, you may have to complete a security verification before the worker can start work.  This is to protect all parties and keep the site a safe marketplace in which to do business.  If you are in time-constrained situation with a tight deadline, we highly advise you to pre-verify BEFORE you choose your worker.  This will enable you to avoid any delay caused by the verification process.
Once you finish escrowing funds, you'll receive a confirmation receipt and the worker will be notified simultaneously to begin work. Additionally, both you and the worker will be given each other's direct email address.  However, we HIGHLY recommend that you refrain from directly emailing the worker, and instead continue communicating through the site. There is more information on this in the next section: "Work is Done By Your Worker"
